JERSEY FRESH

My imagination must be working overtime because somehow, amidst this record breaking summer heat, I'm thinking about apple picking season.  Each year I wait until the air gets cooler and the leaves reach their peak to hit the orchard, and to my chagrin the trees are bare!  This year I will not let the hoards of school children grab all the good fruit, I will beat the crowds and you better believe I'll post the baked deliciousness that always follows.  To plan my attack I discovered this handy guide to New Jersey harvests.  Looks like it's time to start picking!
